How to build a massive downline using forums

Massive downline's can prove to be an incredible asset if you use the right incentives to inspire webmasters. Offering Cash Activation Bonuses (a unique creation exclusively available from MoreNiche) for example is one sure way of doing this.

Using this tool you can offer new affiliates special cash rewards for performing certain tasks and actions.

At MoreNiche we use this method of cash bonuses ourselves to reward our affiliates for all endeavours: accumulating 50 posts on their forum; setting up an affiliate website or for sending x amount of surfers to the main product website (using tracking codes).

By putting such bonuses in place, webmasters will be incentivised to take action and keep striving towards their first sale. Plus by offering webmasters a Cash Activation Bonus (CABS) of $45 for simply joining MoreNiche, they will be making a profit before they have even started.

Now before we go any further it is important for you to remember that your downline’s success is also your own success, so it is vital that you keep your affiliate working hard in their mission to achieving you new leads and conversions.

Using CABS is possibly one of the most lucrative ways of achieving this. Not only will it boost your affiliate’s dedication to achieving more downline commissions, but will enable you to create an attractive sweetener to tempt sub affiliates to your website too.

At MoreNiche we have formulated 3 successful strategies for recruiting downline affiliates:

One method involves giving webmasters a one off $30 bonus, and another one works on the basis of webmasters being able to earn a sharing percentage from your downline’s earnings.

Saying all this, you too can make a profit from this kind of scheme. How? By promoting MakingYouRicher. Here you can make an easy $40, whilst benefiting from a percentage of their earnings for life.

How to find potential affiliates for your downline

So where do you start? The answer to this one is simple: the internet. As we are writing this there are currently many webmaster and business related forums which you can use to recruit affiliates to your downline.

And you don’t have to feel limited to looking just within the UK. You can also branch out into foreign webmaster forums too, as the majority of their users have a strong grasp of English which will make your website more internationally versatile.

Once you have found a forum, your next step will be to tempt these 2nd tier affiliates onto your downline. To do this, you can use one of two methods:

  • Posting in the ‘opportunity/advertising’ sections of this forum
  • Advertising your downline through various signature characters whilst also getting involved in a thread discussion

Posting in opportunity/advertising sections

Go on any forum and you’ll usually find a section which is devoted to holding advertising posts placed there by other members. These sections themselves aren’t usually very popular amongst visitors, but they can still offer you good traffic.

So how do you make a post? Well first you need to do a few things:

  • Sign up to the forum do this and you can safeguard the legitimacy of your post
  • Prepare make sure post is enticing and fun to look at. Try including a great title for example and strong links. More importantly, make sure your post has been spell checked. The last thing you want to offer is a post filled with mistakes
  • Title, Title, Title make it eye catching and impossible to miss. For example try putting one on that goes along the lines of "Make $45 right now! All you have to do is.." Offer a title like this and webmasters will soon be interested in finding out more. Namely on how to sign up to MoreNiche.
  • Previews check, check and check your post again before posting it. One way to check that it looks good is to use the preview function
  • Timing when is the forum most busy? When will webmasters be more inclined to look at this section? Know this and you’ll increase your chances of your advert being seen
  • Updates one post is not enough. You need to keep up the momentum, so make sure that after a couple days or even hours you go back on and post again. Now we don’t mean a new post, that won’t work. You need to post on the same one. By doing this you will keep it at the top whilst bumping up your thread. Similarly this post cannot be about nothing. There has to be a reason why you have posted again, so add some useful content and information to your post, that way your advert will be even more enticing.

Advertising through signatures

This one though very popular and effective has to be approached carefully. The reason? Well it partly comes down to the way it is interpreted. Some forums will view this as direct advertising whilst others will think it is indirect.

Now depending on the way your present your content, using signatures can quite often come off as spamming – and let’s just say that this is the last thing you’ll want to happen.

You see, any form of spamming or misuse of a forum for exposure and clicks is seen as forbidden. So whilst it may work for a short period of time, eventually it will be spotted and your account will be banned.

For this reason, we always recommend that you read the rules, and make sure you know what your advertising limits are. The last thing you want is for your account to be banned.

Saying all this there are many legit methods you can use to boost your advertising and get those much deserved clicks, whilst still being perceived as a positive informative figure within the forum.

Step one: keep it simple. Remember forums are where webmasters go to, to talk and find answers to their questions, so try to ask and answer only the appropriate questions.

Similarly try to make your post one that will add value to the discussion. To help, below is a list of signature restrictions that you will need to bear in mind when building your post.

Signature restrictions or limitations:

  • Not all forums allow the use of signatures
  • Not all forums allow you to make active links (only when you are using a signature)
  • You might have to wait 10 days before you can post links onto your posts
  • You might have to wait until you have made 50 useful posts before you can use signature/links
  • You might have to make X amount of posts before you are allowed to start a new thread.
  • Etc

Now some of these may come across as a little time consuming, but the results will be worth it. Especially considering the bigger the forum is the bigger your returns will be.

Types of signatures:

  • Simple text
  • Simple text link
  • Banner
  • Banner mixed with text and/or text links

Samples:

affiliate network affiliate program affiliate marketing affiliate network

Depending on the type of forum you post on, will depend on which type you can use. In most mainstream forums they will allow you to use a simple text link within your signature. Adult forums on the other hand work a little differently. They will usually allow you to include banners (take a look at the examples above).

No matter the forum type you choose to use, we recommend that you always try to keep your signature simple. Keep it simple and your post will stay safe.

PLEASE NOTE: you can use signatures to promote MoreNiche downline, MakingYouRicher or even both!

One other key factor you need to remember is to not start a thread about the program you are promoting within the sites main forum. This will instantly be seen as spamming.

The real secret to making this work is to keep your profile low, but not invisible. You need to find the right balance.

Similar to the techniques we mentioned above, try using content already available on the forum to help build up your own. Try replying to other members questions, using your knowledge to give them valuable advice in response.

Not only will this keep your posts safe and accessible to others, but the forum itself will repay you the favour in creating links.

WARNING

Never – and we mean NEVER - spam or abuse a community forums.

If forum administrators complain about you or we notice that you are using their forums in such a manner – your account may be frozen.

At MoreNiche our goal is about building businesses in long term, not using spam-and-run away methods to increase advertising.

Extra strategies

Above we have covered all the most common and simplest strategies for placing your affiliate link: signatures and advertising posts. But there are other steps you can take to increase your success levels.

Target a specific page

Now most affiliates will opt to target our homepage, but at MoreNiche we have introduced some interesting tool functions that will enable you to choose and customise your final landing page.

With this function you can potentially send them to any page you like within MoreNiche.com.

Take this scenario for example. You are promoting natural weight loss product Proactol. Using this function you can send the affiliates you have recruited to Proactol’s product page

All you need to do to achieve this is to customise your linking code and add to it:

&u= http://www.moreniche.com/proactol.html

To regular link (20$ + 5%)

http://moreniche.com/join.html?w=104872&ttp=3

The final linking code will look like this:

http://moreniche.com/join.html?w=104872&ttp=3&u=http://www.moreniche.com/proactol.html

Set up your own review page

Now this strategy is probably the best one, as it will give you two important advantages:

One: with a review you will not have to use the same linking code, which can easily be tracked by forum administrators.

Two: using this strategy you will have complete control over which page they land on. This is fantastic if you are trying tor target different affiliates. Let us explain, under this scenario you could have weight loss affiliates landing on a pages which overviews the benefits of Proactol and what it can offer an affiliate. Whilst on the other hand you could also be sending other webmasters to a page that focuses on the benefits of property investment.

Hide your links

And this is one to definitely remember as an affiliate. By hiding your links, you can prevent others webmasters from removing your affiliate ID from the tracking URL – we know it sounds incredible, but it does sometimes happen.

For this reason, we recommend that you hide your links. Now before you get worried this is really easy to do, especially if you have set up a separate page on your domain. By doing so, you will have available to you several methods for hiding links.

PLEASE NOTE: more details on "How to hide links" can be found on the MoreNiche forum.
